LUMPINI PARK: OASIS OF CENTRAL BANGKOK

Lumpini Park is the first and one of the top 5 biggest public parks in Bangkok. The park has opened to public in 1925 during the reign of King Rama 6 with the purpose to exhibit Thai products and commerce and later turn into public park for the people. With his passed away, King Rama VII has continued to extend the park to make more space for people’s leisure activities. The name “Lumpini” is taken from the birthplace of Buddha in Nepal.

Located just 10 minutes walk from Bliston Suwan Park View (Via Wireless Road entrance), here you can enjoy many outdoor activities, open class exercises, pedal duck boat, or even picnic! The running lanes lengthen across the park is about 2.5 km. If your favourite sport is cycling, then the park has its special lane for it but note that the time is restricted to 10:00 am – 15:00 pm only to avoid the running crowds towards late evening. If you feel hungry, the street food stalls are also located inside the park towards Rama 4 Road side and next to the park on Ratchadamri Road side.

The entrance can be access via at Rama 4 Road, Wireless Road (Wittayu Road), Ratchadamri Road and Sarasin Road.

Open daily 4:30 am -21:00 pm
